A statement to this effect was made by Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia during his meeting on Tuesday with Secretary-General of the Council of Europe Thorbjorn Jagland.

How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the Gospel of Peace.

We must be super-conservative in preserving the Orthodox faith, and super-modern in propagating it.

But if the watchman sees the sword coming and does not blow the trumpet, so that the people are not warned, and the sword comes and takes any one of them, that person is taken away in his iniquity, but his blood I will require at the watchman’s hand.
